So maybe if we are really short staffed you should stop threatening people’s jobs and forcing them to quit!  When you do these things it makes me very hard to be sympathetic about the fact that we are short people on the weekends and you want me to do something about it by working more hours.  I’m just saying…there are like at least 4 schools in the city I live in alone that train people to do what I do.  As a business you really shouldn’t have too much trouble finding people to fill positions.  I’d take a look at some policies and internal politics to see where the real problem is.  Unfortunately when anything is corporate things tends to be looked at with an ‘It’s not our fault’ angle, or ‘It can’t be our policies that’s driving people away’ type of attitude.  I understand that rules are in place for a reason, but to promote somebody so that they can spy for you is pretty low.  If your employees are upset then there is probably a reason why.  If your employees are complaining to one another then actively find out why.  Don’t try to do it behind our backs and then get rid of people when you don’t like what you hear.

*sigh*

Sorry just needed to get that off my chest.  It makes me sad that this is seriously like the best job I’ve ever had and yet things like this still happen.  I feel clueless most of the time because ‘thank the gods’ this stuff rarely is exposed to me.  I just always happen to find out about it through other sources.  I’m like, REALLY?, when did this shit go down?

All I can say is I’m soooo glad I work a late shift.  First job I’ve ever been able to say that about.
